Product Updates Digest: DevOps-powered Capabilities, Enhanced Webhooks, and More
WRITTEN BY: TelemetryTV, 06-26-2023
We're excited to introduce DevOps-powered capabilities for creating custom web applications, seamless video transition across playlist pages, improved device monitoring, and other cool updates.
Create Custom Apps with DevOps-Powered Capabilities
We are excited to introduce TelemetryTV's DevOps-powered capabilities that transform how businesses create custom digital signage and kiosk applications. By integrating with Git, TelemetryTV enables rapid development, efficient testing environments, and direct deployments from tools like GitHub Actions, merging TelemetryTV with the organization's CI/CD pipelines.
Enjoy Streamlined Build Deployments
Webhooks no longer require an API token to trigger web application builds. Instead, we added a special action when adding a new webhook, which activates a secure and unique token for that webhook, and so builds can be triggered with REST API requests from now on.
Get Seamless Video Transition Through Playlist Pages
By leveraging the Persisting Sidebar Media capability, organizations can enjoy consistent and seamless playback across numerous playlist pages. This feature is particularly beneficial for those utilizing Screen Zones, as it ensures seamless transitions for zones with videos that outlast a current playlist page's duration but continue playback from the same point on the succeeding page.
Boost Device Monitoring Efficiency
The updated devices table in TelemetryTV now includes "Last Error" and "Last Degraded Storage" options, enhancing visibility into device issues. Sorting devices by these columns helps identify and address problems quickly, ensuring prompt attention. The table also displays player and app versions for diagnosing version-specific issues.
